gold_label_virgin_coconut_oil_32ozDo you use coconut oil? I sure do! Especially with a son that is allergic to dairy. Coconut oil makes a wonderful substitute for butter when baking or cooking.

I’ve been using coconut oil for a few years now. But recently I tried Tropical Traditions coconut oil for the first time.

I was very impressed with both the taste and texture of the coconut oil. It worked very well for all of my cooking needs. I use it to make things like graham crackers, dairy free crackers, muffins or even meatballs and stir fry. Most days I also add coconut oil to my hot chocolate.

What else do I do with coconut oil? I use it to make homemade toothpaste and deodorant to avoid chemicals. I also use it straight from the jar as lotion. I love how I smell like coconut without any artificial scents. Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil has a wonderful coconut smell!

We went through a quart of Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil pretty quickly. I just restocked my pantry with more. Tropical Traditions offers great deals and even free shipping. Be sure to sign up for their newsletter so you don’t miss any chances to get a great product for an even better price.

If you still need more information about exactly what Virgin Coconut Oil is or how to use it, Tropical Traditions has a great explanation for both.

As someone that does a lot of dairy free baking and cooking I use coconut oil almost daily. But even if I didn’t have to make food dairy free I’d still use it! Coconut oil is that great.  And Tropical Traditions is a great resource for coconut oil.

Yes, Sarah! Absolutely. I add it to my mug of hot chocolate every morning so I’m sure to get some down first thing. And I don’t even taste it.

      • My husband and I have been on Paleo for 3mos. now and am not only losing weight, but, my rheumatoid symptoms are lessening ! We use a cheap coconut oil at present, however, would love to try Tropical Traditions brand, thank you for your inspiring blog and God Bless.

Hi Mary! I hope this message finds you & your doing well!!! I recently started using coconut oil when I cook eggs or sauté veggies, etc. I continue to try to find the right foods that make me feel my best & have felt/seen the changes. Now, I need to do that for the rest of my family. Tim is having health issues and is in the process of being diagnosed. The neurologist is narrowing it down; probably an auto-immune nerve disease of some sort. I struggle with not having or spending enough time on food prep and having enough $ budgeted to spend on the right foods. I would like to work on this over the next year. Do you have suggestions for purchasing meat–like 1/4 cow? Also, what are some of your starter family friendly recipes?
    Blessings,
    Nicole

I use it a lot, keep learning new ways. Right now use in smoothies, and on hair, sometimes substitute for other oils. Want more ways to use it.

  4. Renee says:

One of the many ways that I use coconut oil is as a deep conditioner in my hair. Coconut oil conditions, strengthens, and repairs hair.

  5. I use coconut oil every day and I’m excited that I received my very first jar of Tropical Traditions coconut oil today! Before this I used Dr. Bronner’s Coconut Oil, which, like all all of their products is amazing! I can’t wait to see how they compare!
I use coconut oil (when I am well, as I have a rare, incredibly painful nerve disorder, and I’m currently waiting for a second brain surgery) to dilute essential oils, make lotion, use it as is for a whole body moisturizer, diaper rash ointment and amazing hair conditioner, for salves, deodorant, toothpaste, baked goods, for sauteing food and in place of butter on homemade bread! If I miss the coconut oil for bread at dinnertime my two young children remind me! I’ve not yet tried oil pulling, but I’m curious about it. Thanks so much!

I use coconut oil for everything where oil or butter can be used. I love the health benefits. It’s also so good for dry/brittle hair. I soaked my hair in it a few times after a hair bleaching episode went seriously wrong….it literally saved my hair from breaking off. It’s amazing for SO much I could write a full page of what i use it for, lol.

  8. MzBaker says:

I use it in smoothies and cooking. I LOVE it! I am on LCHF Diet and it’s a perfect additive for a simple tasty smoothie filled with good fats! I cooked chicken in it the other night added an amazing flavor and fragrance to the house!
